AXA Scholarship
04.08
The AXA Achievement Scholarship is a great opportunity for free money for college. Students should be community leaders and extremely driven individuals to even consider applying for this scholarship. If you fit this profile, check out these award amounts:
- 52 winners from the 52 states receive $10,000 each.
- Ten national winners are selected from the 52 & win an additional $15,000 each.
- The top ten national winners are awarded $25,000 total!
$25,000 is a huge amount of money for educational financial aid. To be eligible and competitive, AXA requires that students must have:
- Ambition and drive
- The determination to set and reach goals
- Self-respect and respect for family and community
- The ability to be successful in college.
If this defines the student, s/he should obtain more information about this opportunity. Past winners have included Kasey Haas, who launched Lexi’s Voice, an organization that provides support and community involvement for physically disabled children; Charles Zhang, who developed an experimental device for electrical power for humans; and Diedre Graham, who produced a dance benefit to raise awareness for body image issues and self-esteem.
The great thing about this scholarship is students come from all economic backgrounds, which means the upper middle class (UMC) is welcome to apply. Also, AXA has joined together with Scholarship America and U.S. News & World Report. With the declining economy, this is good news for more scholarships to come.
Also, take a look at the AXA Achievement Community Scholarship Program, which is another opportunity for college grant money.
Deadline: Fall to begin applying
